This comprehensive redevelopment of a disparate group of existing buildings was a response to meet the current and future needs of a busy University Gym and Recreation Centre. The complicated planning involved rationalising the existing structure, as well as addressing key issues of budget, sustainability and a fast-track program to meet the university holiday timeline. Stunning views through the building and over the city were enhanced, and accessibility, environmental conditions, way finding and connection to the campus and city were all hugely improved.
