NEW EXHIBITION SPACE
In 2007, HMA won an architectural competition to design a new exhibition space. The installation is planned to have a life span of approximately 10 years and the original concept is currently being developed by the studio in collaboration with client representatives and lighting specialists. The exhibition will be organised into several sub-sections and will be updated through an interactive process with the viewers. Attention is being given to the viewer experience through the presentation of exhibition material within strong a spatial organisation of architectural volumes. HMA are developing the display structures and object cases to provide a homogenous and clearly defined organisation while allowing flexibility in the presentation of a highly varied collection. The client has declared as an outcome for this project, "a space where visitors will wish to return many times, finding new aspects to the exhibition on each visit". |
