NAVY MUSEUM
Relocation of the Navy Museum into the historic Mining Buildings at Torpedo Bay, Devonport, to create a contemporary museum facility on this prominent waterfront site. The adaptive reuse of the existing buildings will accommodate exhibition and gallery spaces, classroom, meeting room, administration functions and public cafe. These will link directly to landscaped exterior exhibition spaces and a new Maritime Park which will connect historic North Head with the waterfront boulevards of Devonport. HMA worked in association with Opus International Consultants in the design, documentation and delivery of this project. |
